By accessing or using Media Tools (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Media Tools provides free, browser-based tools for converting, editing and compressing GIFs, video and audio. All processing runs locally in your browser; we do not receive, store or process the files you work with. See our Privacy policy for details.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• process, create or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, or violates the rights of others;
• violate any applicable law or regulation, including copyright and privacy laws;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for abuse, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure; or
• use automated means to abuse the site's features (for example, the contact form).

You are solely responsible for the files you process and for ensuring you have the rights to do so.

You retain all rights to the files you process — we never claim any ownership over your content, and since it never leaves your device, we never even see it. The Media Tools name, design, and site code are the property of their respective owners and are protected by applicable law. The underlying media engine is provided by the open-source FFmpeg project under its own license.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output will meet your requirements. Always keep a backup of important files.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Media Tools and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data or files, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service.

The site may load third-party services (such as Google analytics or advertising tags) subject to your consent. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these terms, at any time. When we change these terms we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised terms.
