Cookie policy
This policy explains how we use cookies and similar local storage — and how you can control them.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website can store in your browser. "Local storage" is a similar mechanism for saving small preferences on your device. Both let a site remember information between visits.
How we use them
Media Tools is built to be privacy-first, so we keep this to a minimum:
- Essential preferences (local storage). We save your light/dark theme choice and your cookie-consent decision in your browser's local storage so the site behaves the way you expect. This never leaves your device.
- First-party analytics — no cookies. Our own aggregate page-view counting does not use cookies or any identifier stored on your device. See the Privacy policy.
- Optional third-party cookies (consent required). If enabled, Google services such as Analytics, Tag Manager or Ads may set their own cookies to measure traffic and campaigns. These load only after you accept in the cookie banner, and you can decline.
Managing your choices
When third-party analytics or advertising is active, a consent banner lets you accept or decline before any such cookies are set. You can also clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser's settings — clearing the consent value will make the banner appear again so you can choose afresh. Most browsers also let you block cookies entirely; the tools will still work, since they don't depend on cookies.
